In the light of revision 2000 of ISO 9001 certified companies or companies in route to certification need to manage many data elements to control the system and to obtain information for the improvement (performance index, statistics, costs, ...), conversing effectively with clients and suppliers. Many of the information’s are useful regardless of the requirements of ISO 9000: Maintenance of facilities, quality control, monitoring of suppliers, training management, management of complaints and returns, job security, ... are topics of substantially interest for all of the companies.

Omnia, a solution that operates in windows and intranet environment, is the answer of the need to manage information coming from the quality system in an effective way. The project Omnia is an implementation of the company mission: Omnia is a software solution for management and its technology contents highly skilled, capable of supporting the information needs of an Integrated Management System. But Omnia means not only Quality. Omnia is also the winning solution for the problems in environmental management, systems and security.

Target

OMNIA is a highly flexible tool for resolving problems related to company management , according to the Quality certification and the specifications of ISO9000 standards. The product is aimed both to companies that are already certified and for companies wishing to achieve certification.
The effort made by the analysts and developers of the product was designed to maintain maximum adaptability to different companies and different interpretations of the standard.

The project

The Apice project, in particularly Omnia is created with a particular purpose: to provide the company with the tools that are necessary to operate with maximum efficient, without losing sight of the issues of Quality. The only one way to achieve this goal is to provide integrated answers. For our procedures the equipment or work place is the same entity that produces. The product remains the same when it comes to be the subject of the contract, when it is designed, produced, tested, sold and served. The staff is a component of the company and a single corporate entity when they are managed timesheets, professional trainings, risks and accidents, costs for the intervention of Quality of and not Quality, scheduling of the availability for production and design, commitments in the offices and working groups. Even when Omnia is inserted into an information system that already exist in the company, it maintains the characteristics of work integration and optimization of work processes in accordance with the needs of the systems for Quality insurance.

The functions

The fundamental base of the program, is the full adaptability to company processes and procedures implemented in the manual. In this consist the different with other products on the market, that force to adapt the procedures to the support system.

Documentation

Omnia consent to manage in an integrated and secure way the information related to the Quality System, both as regards the management of the Quality Manual and the procedures and standards related to the company activities. The articulated management of the authorizations guarantees the confidentiality of data and protection against unintended changes or modification by unauthorized. The creation, variation and distribution of documents follow in a whole way the standards established by ISO 9004: 2000, allowing also the approval of the documents. The program allows to manage documents created with any type of program (Ms Word, AutoCad Project, Excel, ...). The interconnection of the program with the Documentation of Quality allows the interactivity with the active action. For lists of control is available an appropriate management that allows an immediate assessment of results and of action to undertaken. The intranet functions allow an easy and instantaneous distribution of the documents.

Supplier

Suppliers are managed according to their importance for the company and their relevance to the quality indices, established by the Quality System in collaboration with the Direction of the company. Inspections and evaluations are handled through the questionnaires and integrated documents. The Vendor Rating is done through evaluation of several factors, whose weight can be varied depending of the consideration and the peculiarity of the company. In addition to the contract, you can manage also the characteristics of the supplier, both in terms of Quality and from the management side. The revision of the contract of the supplier is managed in a similar way as provided for the client, allowing you to create different stages for the review of the contract, to assign it to the various managers and monitor their execution.

Procurements

To avoid the use of products, that are not in accordance with the specifications, the company must implement appropriate control procedures. Omnia is able to operate in full agreement with the standards, allowing:

  • documentation of non-conforming products;
  • verifying of the type and degree of non- compliance;
  • segregation of non- compliant products and awaiting inspection;
  • treatment of non-compliance;
  • monitoring of the implementation of the corrective action;
  • full traceability of the product at this first stage;
  • The information about controls of supply, and rendered on the rating can be made available to the supplier through a web form.

Staff

A structured procedure was dedicate to personnel management and related Qualifications. In addition to personal data and service you can also manage the training information(including those relating to planning and cost), the prevention and protection, to achieve the qualifications, necessary to hold the various positions, provided by the company structure and the Quality manual.
